APS School Counselors:

  • Help students understand and overcome social/emotional and behavioral challenges
  • Design data-driven student counseling services
  • Lead stakeholders in delivering and continuously improving student programs and services
  • Engage in collaboration, continuous reflection, and ongoing learning

School Social Workers

APS School Social Workers collaborate to address a variety of psychosocial, biological, and physical factors that impact student performance. Our caring team of school social workers help parents access resources and empower students to reach their full potential, regardless of their circumstances.

  • Conduct family, teacher, and student biopsychosocial interviews
  • Create Educational Impact Statements
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and enhance access to care
  • Provide direct counseling support to students and staff during crises

School Psychologists

APS School Psychologists develop individual, group, and system-level interventions that help students overcome challenges. Interventions include academic, social/emotional, behavioral and mental health needs that enhance student performance.
